SECTION A

1. Study the tables I and II below showing the area and modes of transport of selected countries for 2000.

b) Explain the demerits of using the above stastical method.        (3 marks)

c) i) Identify the dominant mode of transport in the countries given in the table.                                                (1 mark)

ii) Account for the dominance of the mode of transport identified in the above.

d) Explain the contribution of the transport industry to the development of any one country given in the table.                        (8 marks)
